A SPECIAL ART DECO DIAMOND ANTIQUE ENGAGEMENT RING

The Art Deco time period, 1920-1935, is well known for specific styling of architecture, fashion and, in fact, everything material. In the early 1920's, jewelry was created in platinum, the king of metals. Master jewelers took pride and valuable time, painstakingly, creating jewelry with the most detailed and intricate designs. Platinum was used because it was malleable which allowed the jeweler to create jewelry with meticulous piercings and filigree. Usually, these precious pieces of jewelry, which can only be described as artwork, contained diamonds and frequently accented with sapphires (often synthetic) and rubies or emeralds. This Art Deco diamond Antique engagement ring is by Lambert Brothers of NYC, crafted in platinum, features a sparkling .74ct. apx. European cut center diamond with VS2 clarity and G-H color. The center diamond is accented with .16ct. T.W. apx. of European cut diamonds of very fine quality with VS1-SI1 clarity and F-G color. Notice the fine piercings, engraving and milgrain which is all finished by hand. This is a one of a kind diamond Antique engagement ring!
